Color Storiezz
The project "Color storiezz in black & white selfiezz" was created by chance as a game in 2020 in the midst of quarantine, which came about through the need for interaction with the public, after a call I made through my social media, for friends to send me their black & white selfie photos, I edited them with color exclusively with the i phone's painting application, inspired by the photos I received I created new characters with a humorous mood. The interaction over two months grew daily.
The artist Maria Zissopoulou MAZi presents the project Color storiezz in black & white selfiezz... at Klimax garden from Friday 26 June at 20:30 and for one week (26/6 - 3/7/2020).
Almost two hundred selfie photos of men and women, friends and strangers, Larissa residents and non-Larissa residents, edited by the "electronic brush" of artist Maria Zissopoulou had flooded the social media (#artvirus) during our forced confinement (March/April 2020).
The black and white selfie each of us sent was transformed into a "colored story". Maria Zisopoulou, with her particular visual vision and writing, transformed the "grey" of this period into a colourful universe with all of us as protagonists, creating a channel of visual communication and digital dialogue that we all needed in our isolation.
The presentation of the project Color storiezz in black & white selfiezz...through a video projection and exhibition of a series of photographs in the welcoming garden of Klimax comes to remind us and confirm the necessity of the existence of art in our lives and in our everyday life especially in times of crisis, art and its extensions not only give us hope and strength but also colour in our lives.
