Biography

     Maria Zisopoulou was born in Larissa. She studied Painting at the School of Fine Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in the 2nd workshop with professors Kyriakos Mortarakos and Dimitris Zouroudis. She had an exclusive collaboration with the record label Traumraum based in Berlin for the curation of album covers from 2017 to 2019. From 2018 to 2020, she taught painting at the Free Workshop of the Municipal Art Gallery of Larissa - G.I. Katsigras Museum. She has participated in group exhibitions in Greece and abroad and has presented
her work in two solo exhibitions in Greece.


      She participated in the annual exhibition “Rooms 2021” of the Kappatos Art Gallery in Athens (January 22 - March 6, 2021) with the project “Who am I? Who I am,” presented the project “Color Stories” in the courtyard of “klimax” (June 22-27, 2020), and took part with an artistic action at the Festival of Musical Experimentation “Flow” in Athens at CHIMERES (July 9-10, 2020). At the Hatzigiannio Spiritual Center of Larissa, she, along with Dimitra Oikonomou, presented the art exhibition INTERFACE (May 20-30, 2019). In 2019, she also took on the artistic direction of the Benesha project in Larissa, and in February 2020, she participated in the annual contemporary art exhibition “Performance Rooms 2020” of the
Kappatos Art Gallery in Athens, where she and Dimitra Oikonomou presented the
performance #INTERFACE. Since 2021, she has been collaborating with the Braggart Gallery. In April 2022, her sculpture installation titled “Forms of Nature” was placed in a roundabout in the city of Larissa. Recently, in collaboration with Giorgos Ayfantis, they presented the project “Find Your 4th Dimension.” 


     Her works are part of the private collection of the G. Vogiatzoglou Gallery and the Ministry of Culture.
